Top Ten Songs - Music Blogfest

If you have no idea what this is then you should visit Alex J. Cavanaugh who is the host of this here blogfest.
I shouldn't of waited until the last second to come up with this list. I think I had more than a month to think about it. The due date came up so fast. One day I will learn not to wait until the last minute but I doubt it. I think it may be instinctual. This is a much harder list to come up with than favorite movies or actors. There are so many damn good tunes out there. So in no particular order, I will give it a go.

Song - Artist

Tiny Dancer - Elton John (Probably my all time favorite song)

Summer of '69 - Bryan Adams

Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day

Wonderwall - Oasis

Machinehead - Bush

Fortunate Son - Creedance Clearwater Revival

Keep on Loving You - REO Speedwagon

Shackled - Vertical Horizon

Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down

Ramble On - Led Zeppelin

I would highly recommend looking up any songs on here you don't know and giving it a listen. Okay I could probably redo this list like 20 times and still not be happy with what I put. This is my first draft and I am keeping it this way otherwise I will never be happy with it. I would put most of Green Day songs up there because they are my all time favorite band but I can't play favorites. Dammit!! I have so many alternates to put. Why can't this be a top 50 blogfest. Arrggghhh!!

My favorite has to be Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. Good to see you have some Zepplin on here.

Great list!!! I have bush on my list too...but Glycerine!! Love Machinehead though!!! We almost got our dance teacher to agree to use it for our routine this year...we actually started a routine to it, but then she changed her mind...I can't even tell you what she picked instead!!

I have every song on your list. How could I forget to list Bush?

Kryptonite! There is a song to bond us forever. I had almost forgotten about it but i love it--not sure it has the same connotations for you it does me... I have a whole playlist that spurs my little 'loving an addict' violins, but I love the songs on it.

Yeah, I could think up favorite songs all day. You came up with a bunch of winners here. "Tiny Dancer" is an especially fine song.

Keep On Loving You was my favorite song in grade school!
Also Machinehead is awesome. I like Bush and Gavin Rossdale's solo stuff.

Great list! I love that CCR and Oasis make the same list. And Summer of '69 is great. Nice choices. Really wish I had thought to put some CCR on my own list...

You've got great taste. This is the third or fourth time I've seen Summer of '69 pop up and I am kicking myself for not putting it on my list, too!

I've only recently rediscovered "Machinehead", damn is that ever an awesome song! Also love "Shackled" by VH (a recent first-time discovery for me :D) and re-discovered "Kryptonite" (which somebody else in this blogfest reminded me of, actually 2 other people I think :D).

Nice list! :)

Hello, Powdered Toast Man. Very interesting title. I didn't quite finish going through the list, so I'm trying to visit everyone today. I only removed Tiny Dancer from my list at the last minute. I agonized over "Philadelphia Freedom", "Somebody Save My Life Tonight" and "Tiny Dancer".
Love the Bryan Adams, Speedwagon, and, of course, The Mighty Zeppelin. Great list!
