Eloquent rambling

Dammit, time just slips by without me noticing. I haven't posted anything in over a month. First I was sick and couldn't write. Then I had my wisdom teeth taken out and wasn't up to doing anything. And the last two weeks just went by and I totally forgot about blogging. What is wrong with me? Am I losing the urge to write? Do I not find blogging as awesome as when I first started? Have I lost my edge? So many questions to ask and be answered.

I need to stop making excuses and whining like a baby and shit or get off the pot. Either blog like I mean it or don't do it at all because this half ass crap isn't working. It is not like I don't have the time, I have plenty of time but I choose to do other things for some reason. It's not like I don't like writing, because I do. It's the reading of other blogs and keeping up on comment replying that gets time consuming and over whelming. I need to hire an assistant for very little money to read blogs all day and comment as Powdered Toast Man. That would make things so much easier. I feel like I should have some ultimate goal with blogging but I don't. It is really just to get comments. Isn't that all we really care about? What people have to say about what we write?

I get overwhelmed thinking about what I need to write sometimes like it's school or a job or something. It is just for shits and giggles and I need to just loosen up and go with the flow. I need to slowly make a comeback. I was at the top of my game once. I just need to figure out a way to do it again.

Or just say fuck it and be done. Any thoughts?

I hope you don't quit! Maybe you need to hire some Ninjas to slip in and comment for you?

It would be nice if you could hire someone to make comments on your behalf. I think that might be what all the "professional" bloggers do. The ones who have thousands of followers. Anyway it sounds like you do have a choice to make. Do you stop? Only you really know that one. But I for one hope you stay.

I know what you mean. At first I was interested in getting as many followers as I could. Now I crave the comments from bloggers whose opinions I respect. Then I realised I had lost sight of why I was really doing it. For the first twelve months I updated my blog once a month but didn't read anybody else;s so had no followers. No-one was reading my blog but I enjoyed the act of actually writing and seeing it there on a screen.
The main thing is not to take it so seriously.

I know what you mean. Reading and commenting is very time consuming. So many bloggers don't even bother to do it anymore, they just keep posting and expecting comments, but don't want to put forth the same effort for others. I still read the ones I follow, but am getting stingy with commenting to the ones that can't seem to take the time to do likewise.

You're funny and enjoyable to read. I do know what it takes to look at all the blogs...I was just looking at some and before i knew, I was on the damm computer for 2 hrs! It's a bit nutty. Please don;t quit even if you go on once per week or once per monthy-you are too fun without your words of mahem and galore:)

if you used another person, it would have to be a clone, because there isn't anybody else out there like you. There isn't any rules about how to do this. Blog when you can, blog when you feel like it. I'm not taking your name off my dashboard until you call it quits. I hope that isn't anytime soon...

Just blog when you have time and feel like it. And don't pressure yourself with comments. I finally had to give up on posting on every single blog...especially the kind of blogs that have a new post every day. I just don't have time to devote to that. But don't quit. That would just be silly cause you're hilarious.

It's never nice to watch a blog go down but the decision in the end is up to you?
